How do I register for my course?

Once you have chosen your course, fill in the application form. This is your registration. An invoice will be sent to you. As a confirmation of your arrival, a deposit of 15% from the total amount due will be needed.

How many students are there in a class?

The maximum number of students in a class is 15.

Is the University Residence near the school?

The University Residence is in Lija, which is 4km away from Campus. A free shuttle bus service operates from the University Residence to Campus and vice versa every hour. Does the school offer activities? The school offers both cultural and leisure activities. Every week the activities are different.

Are all the teachers native speakers?

Our lecturers are all professionally qualified English teachers with University degrees as well as other recognised teaching certificates and diplomas.

When can I apply for the General English or the Intensive English Course?

Our school is open all year round, so it is up to the student to decide the duration of their tuition. Every Monday we have new students who will do a Placement Test, so we can establish the exact level in which students should be allocated.

What is the aim of the Proficiency Course and what are the requirements?

The Proficiency Course is aimed at prospective students who wish to obtain an entry qualification to English speaking universities, including the University of Malta. Students, who would like to attend the Proficiency Course, should have at least a minimum of intermediate level in English.

Are students entitled to a refund?

Before a refund is issued to a student, the Administration Office and the Director of Studies will liaise together and, according to the case, the refund may be issued. The school keeps 10% from the amount refunded as Administration Fee.

Do the students get a certificate at the end of their course?

Students who attend MULS for only one week are entitled to an Attendance Certificate. Students who attend more than two weeks of General English or Intensive English will sit for an Achievement Test and according to the score achieved, a Certificate is issued. Students who attend a Proficiency Course will be given a Proficiency Certificate including the scores obtained in the five exams, i.e. Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Grammar. All certificates are issued according to the Common European Framework and are validated by the University of Malta.
