September 4th & 5th - Qormi Wine Festival
This annual event showcases the wide selection of local red, white and rosé wines of several grape varieties, provided by Marsovin. Along with wine tasting the festival also involves around 90 artistes including bands, soloists and folk groups performing on three different stages.

September 8th - Il-Vitorja (National Day)
This date commemorates the end of the Great Siege of 1565, the end of the French occupation of Malta in 1800 and co-incidentally enough the armistice of the Fascist regime in Italy in 1943. The morning is taken up by various State ceremonies amongst which a parade by the Armed Forces of Malta. During the afternoon they hold a traditional rowing boat regatta in the Grand Harbour. In the evening, there are at least four towns in Malta and Gozo, which celebrate the feast of Our Lady as a Child (Maria Bambina/Our Lady of Victory). Indeed the feast which is centuries old changed its name to Il-Madonna tal-Vitorja, following the end of the Great Siege of 1565.

September 26th & 27th - Zejt iz-Zejtun
Zejt iz-Zejtun the event celebrating the olive-picking season and olive pressing for oil. Free olive oil tastings, olive trees and associated products will be on sale.The event also incorporates local entertainment - folk dancing adn music, plus displays of agricultural tools, typical agricultural products and folk art.

September 27th - World Tourism Day
The United Nations World Tourism Day is celebrated on this day every year. The Malta Tourism Authority and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Tourism will be organising events to mark this occasion. More details to follow.
September 27th & 28th - Malta International Airshow
A large variety of airplanes military and otherwise will be on display and performing at the Malta International Airport. Main aerial displays will be held over St. Paul's Bay. Detailed programme will be available later on during the year.
