November 1st - Zurrieq Half Marathon
The course of the Zurrieq Half Marathon is the main attraction since it offers the best site-seeing tour of the south of Malta. It gives runners the opportunity to run on quiet country roads, through picturesque village streets and along coastal roads with spectacular seascapes. Runners run along the world's oldest archaeological heritage of the prehistoric temples of Hagar Qim. They can also admire the natural beauty of untouched landscapes, valleys and cliffs bordered by the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea.  The course is clearly marked at every kilometre and mile. Sponge and water stations are manned at regular intervals. Groups of marshals will assist in guiding runners throughout the course. A watchful eye will be kept on runners all the time, thereby, ensuring their safety. Effective traffic control and management are assured.

November 27th to 29th - 19th Malta International Challenge Marathon
Better known as the "Challenge", this annual Maltese marathon features a unique three-stage formula, where every phase has a different distance but the overall length is still that of a regular marathon. Visitors can watch the start of the first stage at Mdina, the second at Birzebbuga and the final one at St Pauls Bay. The race finishes at the gates of Freedom Square in Valletta.
