28th-4th April: Holy Week & Easter - Malta really knows how to celebrate Easter. This is a good time to grab your camera and get involved in one of the local celebrations. Check out the processions of statues, and the solemn parade of those involved - usually dressed up as biblical characters.While you're there - try one of the Maltese "figolla" -almond pastry cakes shaped like different animals. They're quite delicious!

31st: Public Holiday: Freedom Day - This day is celebrated in Malta as on 31st March 1979 the Defence Treaty with Britain came to an end and the last British forces left the Island.  Check out our Facebook group "University Language School" to see which activites will be held this year to commemorate this event.
